Security & Alarm Company Fingerprinting: Group, Mobile & Multi-State

No alarm, security, smart-home, pest control or solar rep works until licensed and fingerprinted. We run group and on-site sessions across Missouri and Kansas, review each state’s instructions, and fingerprint multi-state installers once where agencies allow it.

Security industry challenges

Fingerprinting challenges for security and alarm companies

Every day a new hire waits on fingerprints is a day they can’t be scheduled, dispatched or sent into the field.

  1. Licensing before deployment

Many states require fingerprints before guards and alarm technicians are licensed or work unsupervised.

  2. Rolling, high-volume hiring

Seasonal ramps, contracts and turnover keep it ongoing.

  3. Teams across territories

Installers work in several states, each with its own agency.

  4. Renewals and monitoring

Some renewals need new prints; some states enroll licensees in ongoing notification.

On-site fingerprinting for security guard licensing

Set by state licensing agencies and, in some areas, local authorities; rules change, so confirm with the agency.

  • Group sessions at your office, academy or branch, often during pre-assignment training
  • New applications and fingerprint-based license renewals
  • Prints in the format the agency specifies; where a state uses Rap Back, the agency handles enrollment

Group fingerprinting for alarm companies and field sales teams

Group sessions cover state alarm license checks for new hires and existing staff who enter customers’ homes and businesses, timed to seasonal onboarding waves.

  • Alarm dealers and integrators
  • Installers and service technicians
  • Monitoring center staff and branch managers
  • Door-to-door sales teams before territory launch
  • Pest control, solar and smart-home programs
  • Staffing firms supplying these crews

Multi-state group fingerprinting for security companies

Licensing in Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Florida? One digital capture can produce multiple cards when permitted by each receiving agency.

Map each state

Send each state’s instructions and ORI numbers; we check which accept printed cards.

Capture

One capture per installer

FD-258 or agency cards; Florida may require Florida Live Scan to FDLE, usually in the same visit.

Coordinate

One provider, every territory

Sessions by branch and hiring calendar, one point of contact.

Each agency decides which prints it accepts; we cannot guarantee acceptance, and we flag states like Texas with their own process. With consent, extra qualifying cards may be prepared within our 30-day retention period; later applications may need new prints. See multi-state programs.

The right capture method for each requirement

The state and agency decide the method.

  1. FD-258 cards: ink-rolled $45, digitally printed $60

Individual prices; groups quoted. For hard-card agencies and out-of-state applicants; every card is checked before release.

  2. Live Scan electronic submission

Where supported, such as Florida FDLE Live Scan or an eligible FBI Live Scan Fingerprinting request for a person’s own record.

Do security guards and alarm installers need to be fingerprinted for a license?

In many states, yes. Security guard licensing commonly includes a fingerprint-based state and FBI background check, and alarm installers, low-voltage technicians and often door-to-door sales agents must be licensed and fingerprinted before they can work. Requirements vary by state and sometimes by city or county, so send us your instructions.

Our security installers need licensing in Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Florida. Can one fingerprint appointment cover multiple states?

Often it can cover much of it. One digital capture can produce multiple fingerprint cards when permitted by each receiving agency. Florida may require electronic submission to FDLE, which we offer through Florida Live Scan, and Texas and other states have their own requirements. We review each state’s instructions before the session, but acceptance is always the receiving agency’s decision and we cannot guarantee it. See multi-state fingerprinting.

Can you fingerprint our whole sales team or crew at once?

Yes. We run on-site group fingerprinting sessions at your office, warehouse or training site, processing your whole cohort in one visit with FD-258 cards, print-to-card and electronic Live Scan available depending on what each state requires.

What is Rap Back, and does it apply to security guard licenses?

Rap Back is an FBI service that allows authorized agencies to receive notice of new criminal history activity for enrolled individuals after their initial check. Some states use it for certain licensed professions, including security roles. Whether it applies is determined by the state licensing agency.

How much does group or mobile fingerprinting cost for our installers?

Group pricing is quoted in writing before we book, based on headcount, card types and location. Send us your headcount, the states each installer needs and your address, and we will send a written quote. We do not publish per-person group prices.

Do you offer notary services for our hiring documents?

Yes. Alongside fingerprinting, we offer notary support so your hiring and licensing documents can be notarized on site. Drug testing is available as well, so group sessions can cover fingerprinting, notarization and drug testing in a single visit.
