We name the organizations below only as local reference points. They are not affiliated with Midwest Identity Services, and the requirement for any role is always set by the licensing board, agency or employer, so check your own instructions before you book.
Hospitals and health systems
Grandview does not have its own hospital, so its healthcare workers commute to nearby systems: Research Medical Center in Kansas City, University Health Lakewood Medical Center on Lee’s Summit Road, and Belton Regional Medical Center a few exits south on I-49. Nurses, technicians and allied health staff at hospitals like these often need fingerprints for licensing rather than for the job itself. A nurse applying to the Kansas State Board of Nursing submits a fingerprint card, which we roll; see our Kansas Board of Nursing fingerprinting page. Missouri licensing boards generally route fingerprints through MACHS and IdentoGO, so Missouri residents licensing in Missouri should follow the board’s own instructions. Travel nurses and clinicians licensing in several states can use multi-state print-to-card when permitted by the receiving agency.
Schools and colleges
Staff at the Grandview C-4 School District, including Grandview High School, and at Hickman Mills C-1 schools in the south Kansas City part of the area, need a Missouri DESE background check for certification. Missouri residents complete that at an IdentoGO location through MACHS, not with us. We help educators who live in Kansas or another state, who can use MACHS card processing with an FD-258 card we roll, and anyone who also holds a Kansas or out-of-state license. Students at Metropolitan Community College campuses and other area nursing and allied health programs often need prints for clinical placements or out-of-state board applications; our nursing student fingerprinting page covers those.
Employers and business areas
Peterson Manufacturing, the vehicle lighting maker headquartered on East 135th Street, is one of Grandview’s best-known employers, alongside the City of Grandview, the retail and restaurant cluster at Truman Corners, and the warehouses and service businesses along I-49 and US-150. Workers in these settings most often need employment fingerprints, contractor and vendor access screening for client sites, federal contractor prints, or DOT and non-DOT drug testing. Employers can open a corporate account to send new hires without paperwork each time.
