Missouri Real Estate License Fingerprinting
The Missouri Real Estate Commission (MREC) sends new applicants to IdentoGO, Missouri’s state fingerprint vendor, through the MACHS system. If you live in Missouri, that is where your prints are taken. If you live in Kansas or another state, Missouri lets you mail a fingerprint card instead, and we roll that FD-258 card for you.

How MREC fingerprinting works
Every MREC applicant registers in MACHS first, using MREC’s registration number. What happens next depends on your home state.

Missouri runs its fingerprint checks through the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) and its state vendor, IdentoGO. Applicants who live outside Missouri, or who are physically unable to visit an IdentoGO site, can choose card processing instead: register in MACHS with the agency’s registration number, pay for the card service, then mail the confirmation page and a fully rolled FD-258 card to IdentoGO. The IdentoGO card scan instructions accept cards rolled by any fingerprinting provider, including Live Scan prints printed to an FD-258.

What to bring
Missouri’s card scan rejects cards with missing fields, so bring the details below.
- A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing your out-of-state address
- Your MACHS card-processing confirmation page
- Your Social Security number, place of birth and citizenship for the card fields
- MREC’s instructions and registration number
- Kansas Real Estate Commission instructions too, if you are licensing in both states
- Any blank card the agency sent you

I live in Kansas. Can I get my Missouri real estate fingerprints done in Kansas City?
Yes. Missouri lets out-of-state residents mail a fingerprint card instead of visiting IdentoGO. Register in MACHS using MREC’s registration number, choose card processing, and we roll the FD-258 card that you mail with your confirmation page.
I live in Missouri. Can you do my MREC fingerprints?
No. Missouri residents applying to MREC need to be fingerprinted electronically at an IdentoGO location through MACHS. We can help with any cards you need for Kansas or another state.
Why was my Missouri fingerprint card rejected?
The Missouri State Highway Patrol rejects cards where fingers are not fully rolled nail to nail, or where demographic fields are missing. We check every finger and field before you leave. See fingerprint rejection causes.
