Kansas & Missouri insurance licensing
Insurance License Fingerprinting in Kansas City
Kansas and Missouri treat insurance fingerprints very differently. The Kansas Insurance Department fingerprints resident producer applicants and accepts an FD-258 card from any provider. Missouri fingerprints only certain licenses, such as bail bond agents, through its MACHS system. Here is what applies to you.

Kansas: see the Kansas Insurance Department’s resident producer licensing page and fingerprint FAQ, which list the current fee and mailing address. Missouri: see the Department of Commerce and Insurance.
Missouri runs its fingerprint checks through the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) and its state vendor, IdentoGO. Applicants who live outside Missouri, or who are physically unable to visit an IdentoGO site, can choose card processing instead: register in MACHS with the agency’s registration number, pay for the card service, then mail the confirmation page and a fully rolled FD-258 card to IdentoGO. The IdentoGO card scan instructions accept cards rolled by any fingerprinting provider, including Live Scan prints printed to an FD-258.
