Applying in Multiple States? Get Fingerprinted Once.
One digital capture. Multiple fingerprint cards. Less time in our office. If you have been searching for FD-258 near me because you need cards for more than one state, our digital print-to-card system allows us to capture your fingerprints once and efficiently produce multiple FD-258 or agency-specific fingerprint cards when permitted by the receiving agency.
- $60 initial service
- $25 each additional printed card
- Permitted reprints for up to 30 days
- In-office or mobile
How it works
Digital capture once. Print multiple cards. Apply in every state.
The value is not simply that we can print a fingerprint card. It is that you complete one high-quality digital capture and leave with the permitted cards for every current licensing application, whether you are applying in two states or several.
-
01
Digital capture once
Your fingerprints are captured digitally a single time and checked for quality before anything is printed.
-
02
Print multiple cards
We print FD-258 or agency-specific cards from the same capture, one for each application that permits it.
-
03
Prepare every application
You leave with the cards for each licensing board or agency, often in just a few minutes.
-
04
Permitted reprints
With your consent, additional qualifying cards can be produced during the stated 30-day retention period.
Less time in our office
Why one capture beats rolling ink for every card
For clients who need several cards, digital print-to-card can reduce the time spent in our office to just a few minutes, instead of repeating traditional ink fingerprints for every card.
One capture, every card printed from it
- Fingerprints captured once, digitally
- Every printed card comes from the same quality-checked capture
- Adding a state means printing a card, not repeating the appointment
- Permitted reprints for up to 30 days, with your consent
Every card rolled by hand
Ten fingers rolled again for every card
Card quality can vary from one card to the next
A late extra state means another appointment
More time at the counter as the stack grows
Only need one card for one agency? Standard FD-258 fingerprinting is $45, plus $20 for each additional card.
Licensing in another state
Out-of-State Fingerprint Cards in Kansas City
Live in Missouri or Kansas but need fingerprints for another state’s board, employer or agency? You do not have to travel there. We prepare out-of-state fingerprint cards here in Kansas City.
Licensing boards, employers and agencies in other states regularly ask applicants to mail in fingerprint cards. A Kansas City nurse taking a travel contract, a teacher moving to another state, a security technician licensed in several states or an employee transferring to an out-of-state office can all be fingerprinted with us and mail the cards to the receiving agency.
One digital capture can produce cards for several states. We capture your fingerprints once, check them for quality, then print an FD-258 or agency-specific card for each state that permits printed cards. Multi-State Print-to-Card is $60, then $25 for each additional printed card. Only need one card for one state? Standard FD-258 fingerprinting is $45.
Missouri and Kansas agencies have their own rules too. Missouri lets applicants who live outside Missouri mail a fingerprint card through MACHS card processing, which helps Kansas residents applying to Missouri boards. Kansas boards such as the Kansas Board of Nursing accept mailed FD-258 cards. See the Requirements Center for program-by-program details.
Who uses out-of-state cards
- Nurses and healthcare workers licensing in a new state
- Teachers and substitutes moving across state lines
- Security, alarm and low-voltage technicians licensed in several states
- Insurance, real estate and financial professionals with out-of-state licenses
- Kansas residents applying to Missouri agencies by mail
- Employees whose employer is based in another state
A few states only accept electronic fingerprints through their own contracted vendor or Live Scan network. Send us the other state’s instructions before you book, and we will tell you whether a mailed card is accepted.

Print-to-card and reprints
Need additional permitted cards later?
With your consent, your digital fingerprint record may be securely retained for up to 30 days under our stated retention policy so additional qualifying cards can be produced during that period without repeating the full fingerprint capture.
- Your consent comes first. We only retain a capture when you agree to it in writing.
- Limited use. A retained capture is used only to print additional cards you request.
- Secure and restricted. Stored securely, with access limited to authorized staff.
- Deleted after 30 days. Or sooner, if you ask us to.
Read the full print-to-card retention policy.
Retention and reprints apply to this general print-to-card service only. They are never combined with services whose governing program prohibits reuse or retention, such as FBI Identity History Summary electronic submissions or ATF eForms fingerprint files. Those are captured fresh for each request.
Not every state or agency accepts printed cards, cards produced from an earlier capture, or the same submission method. Some require Live Scan or their own electronic channel. We check your instructions before you book, and we never guarantee acceptance on an agency’s behalf.

More questions? Call (816) 442-0295 or browse the Requirements Center.
Can one digital fingerprint capture be used to print cards for multiple licensing applications?
Yes, when each receiving agency permits printed cards. We capture your fingerprints once, digitally, and print a separate FD-258 or agency-specific card for each application from that same capture. The initial service is $60, and each additional printed card is $25.
I need several FD-258 fingerprint cards. Do I have to be fingerprinted again for every card?
No. With print-to-card, your prints are captured once and every card is printed from that capture, so you are not rolling ink ten fingers at a time for each card. See do I need to be fingerprinted again for every card?
Can you print additional fingerprint cards after my appointment?
Often, yes. With your consent, your digital fingerprint record may be securely retained for up to 30 days under our stated retention policy, so additional qualifying cards can be produced during that period without repeating the full capture. After 30 days the record is deleted and a new capture is needed. Receiving-agency requirements still apply.
Does every state accept printed fingerprint cards?
No. Many licensing boards accept printed FD-258 cards, but some require their own card, a Live Scan submission or a state-specific electronic channel. The receiving agency’s requirements control, which is why we review your instructions before you book.
My company told me I need fingerprints for three states. Which fingerprint cards do I need?
Start with each state’s instructions: they say which card, how many copies and where the prints go. Send them to us and we will map out the cards before your appointment. Our guide which fingerprint cards do I need for multiple states? walks through it.
What if one of my states needs Live Scan or a Florida FDLE submission?
We can usually handle that in the same visit. Florida applicants can complete an electronic FDLE Live Scan submission with us, and we print cards for the states that accept them.
Can I get fingerprinted in Kansas City for another state?
Yes, in most cases. Many boards, employers and agencies in other states accept FD-258 or agency-specific fingerprint cards that you mail in. We prepare the cards here in Kansas City. A few states require their own electronic vendor, so send us the instructions before you book.
How much do out-of-state fingerprint cards cost?
Multi-State Print-to-Card is $60 for the digital capture and first card, then $25 for each additional printed card. If you only need one standard FD-258 card, it is $45, plus $20 for each additional card.
